Trimble Connect allows us to access our data from our mobile phones and tablets. This allows us to view the completed 3D model alongside the real-time physical context. Due to the scale and complexity of our rebar designs, clearly displaying this amount of information helps to ensure efficient on-site installation and project delivery. The traditional 2D format would have required a huge amount of sections and detail, which could have easily led to confusion.
The number of pieces we can erect in a day has increased substantially because when steel comes off of the truck, it is lifted off and moved directly to installation, so we don’t have the need to set it aside while we wait for another piece to arrive.
